Former NYPD 'Hip Hop Cop' Says Bobby Shmurda Is Done

by HHL Editors

Derrick Parker was part of the NYPD's notorious rap intelligence unit (Hip Hop Cops), which investigated rappers in the '90s and early 2000s. While the retired officer wasn't involved in the arrest of Bobby Shmurda, he says he knows a lot about it and none of it looks good for the 'Hot Nigga' star.

"The case of Bobby Shmurda, look what happened to him. He was part of the GS9 crew, you know, guns, drugs, and shootings," Parker told AGTV. Once you do all that stuff, the police department monitors you. With Bobby Shmurda, they were hellbent on not letting his career take off before they got him. They weren't going to let him become a major rap artist before they took him down. They had some good detectives that did some good police work and they put a case together against him and his crew." "I think he's done in the industry," he continued. "That's my personal opinion. Unless miracles happens, I just don't think he's coming back."
Parker went on to say he believes there's "a lot of evidence" against Shmurda and that the prosecutor on the case is smart and tenacious.
