The Brooklyn rapper's father was shot and killed by Miami Beach Police Department on Saturday, and he's understandably taking it pretty hard.
According to a press release, Ryan O. Simms (Meechy's dad) stabbed Miami Beach police Officer Ricardo Castillo after Castillo and other officers responded to a security call of a man threatening staff of The Mango Cafe with a knife.
When police arrived, Simms stabbed officer Castillo, who had to be rushed to the ICU unit.
The police opened fire, killing Simms.
Meechy hit Instagram to remember his father and briefly spoke on mental health. Rest in peace.
