In October of last year, Fivio Foreign spoke about the King of New York title and said that it doesn't matter to him. His comments sparked debate

The rapper is now causing another back-and-forth among social media users about who started Brooklyn Drill music. Based on his tweet, it seems that Fivio is calling himself the pioneer.

"Don't even ask me who started Brooklyn drill.. Cuz it only 1 answer IDK wtf everybody else is talking bout," he tweeted on Wednesday, Jan. 20.

"Bobby [Shmurda] and Rowdy [Rebel]," someone replied.

"Bobby and Pop Smoke," another person chimed in. "This n*gga took pops style and ran with it now he want credit😂😂."

"That answer got to be chief keef," a third comment read.

Who do you believe started Brooklyn drill?
