FilmOn Music Exec Grant Zimmerman Denies Chief Keef Is Being Exploited

by HHL Editors

Last month, Rhymefest made an interesting claim.

The Chicago vet said Chief Keef is autistic and the record industry is exploiting his mental disability.

Keef signed with FilmOn.com music after he was dropped from Interscope. His new label's A&R man Grant Zimmerman addressed Rhymefest's charges in an interview with HipHopDx.

"Ain't nobody exploiting Chief Keef," Zimmerman said. "Chief Keef happens to be a real talented dude and people are engaged in what he does. Not just they're engaged in what he does with social media, even beyond that he's super talented and that's why people are drawn to him. I don't think any of that negative talk about him has any relevance."
There were reports this summer that Keef had named his latest kid Sno FilmOn Dot Com Cozart. While naming your son after your record label isn't prove of an exploitative relationship, it is certainly a bit strange.
