Fat Joe Says That He's Lied In Most Of His Songs

by Daryl Nelson

As we reported last month, the judge in Young Thug's RICO case ruled that the rapper's lyrics can be used against him, and Fat Joe said that's ridiculous.

He spoke about the trial on CNN and said rap lyrics aren't based on real life.

Joe even admitted that he's lied in most of his songs.

"I’ve been rapping professionally for 30 years. I’ve lied in almost 95 percent of my songs," he explained. "I’m being honest. I write like I feel that day. I’m just being creative. You couldn’t build a jail high enough for the lyrics I’ve said on songs which are all untrue."

"What I am is a family man, the person who gives back to my community all the time, opens businesses in my community. So the music would never amount to the actual person, Joseph Cartagena," he went on.

The Bronx rapper added to his point by saying the D.A. in the case is just using Thug's lyrics to put him away for a long time, despite knowing that his lyrics are either fabricated or totally untrue.
