Fat Joe Responds To Eric Benet About Rappers Aiding White Supremacists

by Daryl Nelson

Fat Joe disagrees with Eric Benét that certain rappers are doing the work of white supremacists.

"I view music as entertainment, " said Joe. "You have different rappers for different messages. If you gonna go and live your life behind a rap song then you're the fool. We make gangsta rap. People work out to it. People in the army, navy, fighting wars, they get hype to our shit. I don't know what he's talking about. It's a shame."

On Monday, Benét posted a message and blasted the rappers who talk about violence, drugs, and misogyny.

"If all you rap about is killing black people, degrading black women, abusing drugs, materialization, living a low life, you are not a artist, you are a black face for white supremacy," he wrote. "You are being used to help destroy your own people."

Benét hasn't responded to Joe's comment yet, and the Bronx rapper hasn't heard from Jadakiss either. Because last week, Joe said Jada isn't one of the top five rappers during a chat with Funk Flex.

Do you agree with Joe's opinion that rap music is just entertainment and nothing else?
