Facebook is getting into the rapping business...

It seems Mark Zuckerberg has seen the success of music apps like Tik Tok and has invested in Facebook’s internal R&D group, the NPE Team, which just closed "Beta" on an app called BARS.

In the app, users will choose from hundreds of beats, then write their own lyrics and record a video.

Videos are capped at 60 seconds in length and can be shared across social media once they’re made in the program, plus it features auto-tune and a rhyming dictionary.

“I know access to high-priced recording studios and production equipment can be limited for aspiring rappers. On top of that, the global pandemic shut down live performances where we often create and share our work" - DJ Iyer (Facebook Team)

The program is not yet available to everyone,  but it should be dropping soon.
