Experts Break Down How Much Tekashi 6ix9ine Will Have To Spend On Security

Tekashi 6ix9ine is expected to be released after his next court appearance on December 18.

The notorious government witness is eligible for witness protection, but all signs point to the troll rapper turning that down and resuming his music career.

6ix9ine will likely need round-the-clock security to protect him from all the gangbangers he's offended with his enthusiastic testimony.

Complex talked to security experts to get a sense of what that would cost the 23-year-old:

The estimated cost for a job like this varies. Allen Hollimon, CEO of Texas company Nationwide Security Service says the standard for his company’s daily protection is $125/hour. Over the course of one year, that would roughly cost 6ix9ine $1.09 million, although Hollimon said he would reduce the rate considering the length of the job. Curcio says Arrow’s going rate would be $140/hour, which would total over $1.2 million for one year. Over the course of the rest of his career, this would cost him millions.

One of their experts estimated you would need at least three and as many as ten guards to protect 6ix9ine, depending on how much coverage his family needs.

6ix9ine is said to have signed a $10 million deal with 10K Projects for one English and one Spanish language album.

He also has the potential to make more money on shows and appearances, although we would think some venues wouldn't book him for fear of violence.

Do you think 6ix9ine can make enough money to keep safe?
