Eminem's Manager Says He Feared That Em Had Brain Damage After Overdosing

by Daryl Nelson

Some might recall that Eminem overdosed on methadone in 2007, which he and his manager Paul Rosenberg discussed on Rosenberg's Paul Pod: Curtain Call 2 podcast.

"It took a long time for my brain to start working again,” stated Em, who just went number one on the Christian music charts.

“I mean, you literally were coming off of an overdose and they had to sort of stabilize you with a few medications, and some of them took you a minute to adjust to, let’s just leave it at that," Rosenberg said in return.

The veteran manager later said he was extremely concerned after Em started rapping again, which probably means he didn't like his new material.

“Didn’t you ask the doctors , when I first started rapping again and sent it to you, didn’t you say like, ‘I just wanna make sure he doesn’t have brain damage?'" Em asked Rosenberg.

"I thought you might have some permanent problems. Yeah, I was concerned, for sure," Rosenberg responded.
