Elon Musk Denies Reinstating Kanye West's Twitter

by HHL JT

Elon Musk bought Twitter this week.  Not necessarily because he wanted to, but because a court was about to make him.

Nevertheless, he came in with a bang, firing most of the social media app's C-Suite executives.

But what he didn't do was reinstate Kanye West's Twitter page, which had been restricted for antisemitism.

Yes, Ye's page is back up.  But that had nothing to do with Musk.

Ye’s account was restored by Twitter before the acquisition. They did not consult with or inform me.

"Ye’s account was restored by Twitter before the acquisition. They did not consult with or inform me," Musk Tweeted when asked about Kanye's page.

According to Musk, all decisions on reinstating Twitter pages going forward will be made by a diverse content moderation council.

Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints.

No major content decisions or account reinstatements will happen before that council convenes.
