Drake's first mixtape* in six years was released last night. Since then, the Internet has been in a frenzy with countless tweets and posts praising what the 6 God gave us. Being released on iTunes also mean the first week sales projections would quickly be available, and they are high! HDD is reporting that If You're Reading This It's Too Late will hit Gold (500K mark) by Sunday.

It's also worth noting that while this album should be #1 on iTunes' charts, it's missing from all album charts. Only the singles are charting. There's no current explanation for this yet. Could be an iTunes error, or something relating to Cash Money. It did also take Beyonce's surprise 2013 album a little while to appear on the album charts.

*Since the songs are basically original and it apparently fulfills part of Drake's Cash Money contract one could argue this is a proper album. But it is also being referred to as a mixtape. Semantics really; obviously whatever Drake just put out has connected with the public big time.
