Drake's Dad Defends His Son Over Israel-Hamas Silence

by Daryl Nelson

As the conflict between Israel and Hamas rages on, Drake's father Dennis Graham defended his son, who's Jewish, over criticism that he hasn't said anything about it.

DJ Vlad was one of the first people to bring it up, and he not only blasted Drake but DJ Khaled.

"Has anyone noticed that the most famous Jewish person on Earth, Drake, and the most famous Palestinian person on Earth, DJ Khaled, haven't said a single thing about the Gaza-Israel conflict?" wrote Vlad last week. "It's not like Drake is too busy.  He's been writing paragraphs about Joe Budden hurting his feelings about his new album."

But the way Dennis sees it, Drake being famous makes it hard for him to comment.

"I’m sure it affects everybody ... but just stay out of it, especially if you’re somebody that’s well-known ... But be a celebrity and favor one against the other, and it’s going to come back on you. Stay out of it."

Is Dennis right?
