Drake's Security Guard/Back Up Singer Sentenced In Human Trafficking Case

by HHL Editors

Travis Savoury, aka Baka, is a member of Drake's entourage. The 37-year old Toronto man has worked security for Drizzy, contributed back up vocals to the album Nothing Was The Same and even got a shout out on the track 'Know Yourself'.

He was also involved in some nastiness last year, getting himself arrested on charges of forcing a 22-year old woman into prostitution and then taking her money.

Baka had his day in court this week, and plead guilty to assaulting the woman and an unrelated weapons charge. He was sentenced to six months in jail, but will remain free because he already spent 10 months in custody following his June 2014 arrest.

Baka was fortunate that the woman in question -- who worked as an escort -- refused to testify against him. Without her cooperation, the prosecution had to drop the charges of procuring prostitution and human trafficking that Baka was initially hit with.

Despite the ugliness of the case, Drake has shown social media support for Baka.
