Drake Wins Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year

By HHL Editors

Drake just snagged his first of what should be many major year end awards.

Chart bible Billboard has named Drizzy R&B/Hip Hop artist of the year. Billboard's ranking is based on "an artist's chart performance on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, as well as Boxscore touring revenue, Social 50 chart activity and ringtone sales."

Here are the top 15 in R&B/Hip-Hop for 2015: 1. Drake 2. The Weeknd 3. Fetty Wap 4. Nicki Minaj 5. J. Cole 6. Future 7. Wiz Khalifa 8. Kendrick Lamar 9. Silento 10. Meek Mill 11. Big Sean 12. Rae Sremmurd 13. Beyonce 14. Chris Brown 15. Rihanna

Drake also finished fourth on Billboard's ranking based on their overall Hot 100 chart, following  Taylor Swift,  Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd in that order.

Fetty Wap topped Billboard's Top New Artist Chart. (But wasn't nominated for a Grammy in that category.)

Who's your R&B/Hip Hop artist of the year.?
