Drake Turned Down Big Offer To Play Inauguration Weekend Event

Drake had a $750,000 offer to play a charity event hosted by Donald Trump's buddy Floyd Mayweather during Trump's inaugural weekend.

However, Drizzy ultimately turned it down because he became worried about the pushback against artists who were performing at inaugural events.

“The theme was ‘Retro to Rap,’” a source told The Daily News. “They were negotiating with Drake and Kid Rock. Floyd tried to assure him that this was not a political ball. That it was a fundraiser tied to mentoring kids.””
The Daily News's spy added that he had heard Drake's team initially came back with a $1.5 million counteroffer.

Reps for Mayweather and Drake declined to comment on the story.
