Drake Says Kanye West's Criticisms Confuse Him

by HHL Editors

Drake and Kanye are usually friends.

However, like most of us, Drizzy has no idea what 'Ye is going on about half of the time.

In his big interview with DJ Semtex, Drake admits that West's inconsistencies have led to him losing respect for his elder.

“I’m not really sure what he’s referring to half the time because, in the same breath, I went from working on a project with him to him sort of, like, publicly shitting on me and DJ Khaled for being on the radio too much. When I hear that, I just distance myself from it. If that’s what it is, I don’t even really understand the point you’re trying to make, but whatever it is that you’re going through, I accept it. I don’t respect it at all.”
Now Drake and 'Ye are on the same page when it comes to the Grammys: They both avoided the show this year amid talk it's no longer relevant -- particularly for black artists.

Drake's 'Hotline Bling' ended up winning Grammys for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance.

But, as he told Semtex, it didn't mean anything to him because 'Hotline Bling' isn't a rap song.

"The only category they can manage to fit me in is a rap category. Maybe because I’ve rapped in the past or because I’m black, I can’t figure out why. I won two awards [this year] but I don’t even want them, because it just feels weird for some reason.”
