Drake & Murda Mook Almost Rap Battled At 'Blackout 5' Last Weekend

Murda Mook once claimed that a Rap Battle with Drake would be worth $10 to 15 million.

During this weekend's rap battle event KODT 'Blackout 5' the two apparently almost did it for free.

Drake was hosting the event, but had already said that "corporate obligations' would keep him from participating. But BattleRap.com reports that the buzz among event insiders was that Drake and Murda Mook were going to be surprise combatants. According to KODT's Bishop Brigante:

All I know is that if Mook got cute on the mic at all, [Drake] was ready and had bars on deck. That’s right from the boy himself. Whether that moment has passed or not, who knows, but there was definitely at least one round in the chamber with Drake.
Murda Mook also told BattleRap.com that he was ready for Drake -- who first challenged the rap battle veteran last summer -- and thought something was going to happen this weekend.

Are all of these leaks and denials just a set up for a high profile Drake/Mook rap battle showdown?

And is that something you'd be excited about?
