A Drake Mixtape Is Still Coming

by Sermon

For every bit of embarrassing news about Drake, we get something good to counter-balance. Way back in November, rumors began to surface that Drake would be dropping a mixtape in January. DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors was the guy who broke the news prematurely, but nobody within the OVO camp has spoken about it since. There's only a few days left in the month, so it doesn't seem likely we'll be getting this mixtape. However, it does exist.

Toronto emcee P. Reign spoke to Karen Civil and confirmed that his good buddy Drake has been working on a mixtape that Reign has heard and feels will have a big impact.

I know Drake’s dropping a mixtape that I’ve already heard a lot of and it’s crazy. I think it's some of the best I've heard from him in my life and I already know off Drake’s mixtape the world is going to shake."
The mixtape would be a refreshing project considering it's been over five years since So Far Gone. Between the new mixtape, all the festivals he's headlining, new albums from his OVO artists and, of course, Views From The 6, Drake's 2015 is shaping up to be memorable.
