Drake & Future's 'Jumpman' Sees Massive Sales Increase After Taylor Swift Ad

by HHL Editors

Taylor Swift is a music selling machine.

And it doesn't even have to be her music.

Swift is currently starring in an Apple Music ad in which she raps the Drake & Future track 'Jumpman' while on the treadmill. She gets so into the What A Time To Be Alive cut that she loses her balance and is treadmilled right into the gym's floor.

Swift's self mockery has meant dollars for Drake & Future: Sales of 'Jumpman' are up 431 percent on iTunes since the ad dropped last week.

The key to the ad's success is that Swift promoted it on her social media.

“To really get an idea that was simple, informative and funny with hooks is really like writing a song,” Larry Jackson, Apple Music’s head of content, told Adweek. “With an artist that’s got 73 million followers on Instagram, that’s bigger than NBC, CBS and Fox and the viewership of prime time combined.”
There will be two new Apple Music spots featuring Swift in the next few weeks. Every artist in the industry is hoping they will feature one of their songs.
