Jazz fans who stopped by the Reservoir Lounge in Toronto this weekend were in for a surprise.
Drake and his father, Dennis Graham, joined scheduled performer Shane Phillips on stage and sang a duet of T-Bone Walker’s 1947 blues hit, “Stormy Monday."
Dennis comes from a musical background. His brother (and Drake's uncle), Larry Graham, is a well-known funk bassist. While Dennis never matched his bro's success, he had a long career in the industry, including playing drums for Jerry Lee Lewis.
Dennis hadn't been able to get into Canada for more than a decade for reasons not fully explained. He was allowed back in earlier this year and now he's making music with his son in the Great White North.
