Dr. Dre To Unleash 'The Chronic' On 4/20

Dr. Dre's G-funk soaked magnum opus The Chronic changed the rap game when it dropped in 1992.

The album, which featured Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Nate Dogg, Warren G, Lady of Rage, and D.O.C. and made Snoop Dogg into a superstar, will now be available on 4/20 on all streaming services.

"Fans now have another reason to celebrate on what has become a national holiday, celebrating all things cannabis-related – where legally allowed and in moderation of course," says eOne's global president music & live Chris Taylor announced today. "Working with the Death Row catalogue is like working with the legendary recordings of Elvis, Chuck Berry, and the Beatles. These historic artifacts should be heard by all music lovers and we are so happy Dr. Dre has opened this door so everyone can experience the brilliance of this seminal work."

The Chronic has been exclusively available on Apple Music since 2015. Prior to that, Dre had sued to keep it completely off the internet.
