Dr. Dre Is Forbes' 2014 Hip Hop Cash King And It's Not Even Close

You can make plenty of money in the rap game without laying down a track or a verse. Never has this been more apparent than in 2014, when Dr. Dre topped Forbes's annual Hip Hop Cash King list with a whooping $620 million in pre-tax earnings, thanks almost entirely to his sale of Beats Audio to Apple.

That figure was the most ever made in a year by a musician in any genre, according to Forbes. It was also more than the remaining 23 names on their 2014 Hip Hop Cash King list combined. Other top earners, like Jay-Z (Samsung) Diddy (Chiroc) and Drake (Nike) also benefited this year from big business largess. The complete Forbes Hip Hop Cash King list is below.
