New Video Evidence Shakes Up A$AP Rocky Trial As Trump Sends Crisis Envoy To Sweden

by Daryl Nelson

A$AP Rocky's trial in Sweden began yesterday, and Donald Trump sent a presidential envoy for hostage affairs to attend.

Trump called Sweden's Prime Minister not too long ago to see if he could get Rocky out of jail. He then blasted the Prime Minister when the rapper was charged. Rocky has been in jail since early this month after having a fight with two men in Stockholm.

"The president asked me to come here and support these American citizens,” the envoy Robert C. O’Brien told The New York Times. “I’ll be here until they come home.”

Rocky has already pleaded not guilty to an assault charge, as did his co-defendants Bladimir Emilio Corniel and David Tyrone Rispers. All three men face two years in prison if convicted.

Today in court, prosecutors showed unseen video evidence that Rocky's bodyguard -- not the men Rocky fought with -- started the physical portion of the fight.

The victim, who is eventually bodyslammed by Rocky, doesn't throw his headphones at Rocky's team until after being manhandled, contrary to Rocky's defense.

Oddly, the bodyguard in the video was not charged.

We should get a verdict by tomorrow.
