Donald Trump May Have Plagiarized Batman Villain Bane In Inaugural Address

by HHL Editors

Today, Donald Trump became our 45th President.

In his inaugural address, he said this.

“Today’s ceremony, however, has a very special meaning because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people.”

Does that sound familiar?

Well, Tom Hardy's Bane character said this in The Dark Night Rises:

“We take Gotham from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept you down with myths of opportunity. And we give it to you, the people.”
Then Batman's foe plunged Gotham City into anarchy.

Twitter noticed the similarities.

People are comparing Trump to Bane from Batman but if I remember correctly at least Bane stood up to Wall Street

This isn't the first time the Trump team has been hit with charges of plagiarism. Trump's wife Melania copied portions of her convention speech from a speech Michelle Obama made.

In her case she had the good sense not to crib from a super villain.
