Doja Cat Responds To Lana Del Rey Rant

by Daryl Nelson

Lana Del Rey set the internet on fire yesterday after she called out Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé and others.

The New York-born singer said she's often been accused of "glamorizing abuse" in her music, while other women in the industry can sing about any topic they want without being criticized. Fans of the artists she mentioned were not happy that she called them out.

"Question for the culture: Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, Camila, Cardi B, Kehlani and Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f*cking, cheating etc - Can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money - or whatever I want - without being crucified or saying that I'm glamorizing abuse?" wrote Del Rey.

Doja Cat sent a nonsensical message in response then deleted it.
