The sad saga of Delonte West continues.

West, who has mental health and drug issues, was seen panhandling on the streets of North Dallas earlier this week.

Some folks have wondered why West's friends and former teammates haven't done more to help him.

It's apparently not that easy.  TMZ reports that West's former coach Doc Rivers and former college backcourt mate Jameer Nelson have been trying to help West for months.

However, West hasn't accepted their assistance.  Hopefully, he will in the future.
