DMX Recalls Meeting An Angel In His Final Interview

by Benny Franklin

DMX passed away on April 9, 2021, but his spirit lives on through his music and interviews...

The Yonkers rapper's Posthumous album, EXODUS 1:7, drops on May 28th.

On top of the new album, his final interview, which was shot 3-weeks before he died, aired on TVOne’s Uncensored program last night (5/16).

In the interview, X had an interesting story to tell about getting hit by a car when he was 4-years-old and a white lady with a clipboard in the hood.

According to X, he, his sister, and his mother were visiting a family friend in Yonkers, and while he and his sister were waiting outside, he found a dime and proceeded to the store to buy a lollipop and ball.

While coming back from the store, he crossed the street and was instantly struck by a car.

"As soon as I stepped off the curb coming down from the store, a car hit me, knocked me way over on the other side of the street up under another car"

X then says that a white woman carrying a clipboard told him to lie down until his mother arrived, and once she and paramedics did, the lady disappeared.

"You'd think that she would've stuck around because she saw the whole thing. I don't know, I felt like it was an angel. She got no business being in the hood with a clipboard."

With more than 74 million records sold worldwide, DMX holds a legacy as one of hip hop’s best-selling artists. Watch #DMXUncensored in our app: https://t.co/j7T8I4GG9b
