DMX Plays Free Show For Cops Who Saved His Life [VIDEO]

By HHL Editors

We almost lost DMX this February when he collapsed in a Yonkers hotel room with what was described as an "asthma attack."

As a token of gratitude toward the police officers who arrived on the scene and saved his life, X played a free show at a Yonkers PD vs. Fire Dept. "Toughman Competition" this weekend.

The 45-year old called the officers "true heroes", and performed 'The Ruff Ryders' anthem in front of a hometown crowd of 2000.

The event ended up raising 80K for the departments.
