DMX Accused Of Abandoning His Pitbull

DMX is known for his dog love, best expressed through his dog impersonation. He also has a history of animal cruelty charges and claims of mistreatment.

The latest claim alleges that DMX abandoned his pitbull named "X" at a boarding facility in Rhode Island. Four Paw Pets are saying that DMX dropped X off at the facility before his summer tour in 2016, and then never came back to pick his dog up. DMX also stopped paying his bills for the dog in October.

Chad Callahan, the owner of Four Paw Pets, reached DMX on the phone and asked whether he would like them to adopt the dog.

“He said yes. So, I asked him to send us a letter relinquishing ownership of the dog and we'd be happy to help. He agreed but then a month went by and we didn't hear from him again.”
