DJ Envy Addresses Gunplay Posting Their Phone Call, Says He Broke The Law

by Daryl Nelson

While beefing with Rick Ross about car shows earlier this month, DJ Envy mentioned that Ross' artist Gunplay set up a GoFundMe page.

So, Gunplay spoke to Envy on the phone about it, threatened to slap him, then posted the call.

Envy addressed the leaked call on The Breakfast Club today, May 30, and said that Gunplay wasn't only wrong but he broke the law. [Jump to the 4:48 mark]

“I thought it was dope because I thought it was two men having a problem, a disagreement and handling it like men," said Envy about the call. "But then when you record a phone call … I just thought that was chasing something else … Another thing that people gotta understand, too … It is against the law to record someone’s phone conversation and not tell them."

At this point, one has to wonder if Envy regrets getting into this whole car show beef with Ross considering all of the drama it's caused.
