Did Meek Mill Ditch College Show Because Of Small Crowd?

by HHL JT

Meek Mill was supposed to play a show this weekend at UMass Amherst's  Mullins Center.

However, after arriving on campus, Meek decided not to perform.

Lil TJay, his opening act, did play for the assembled students.

"More than 1,500 students attended the concert, where opening act, Lil TJay performed. Headline artist Meek Mill arrived at the Mullins Center, but decided not to perform. An announcement was made to students at 1:30 p.m. and the crowd left in an orderly manner," UMass reported.

The Mullins Center has a capacity 9,493 and there was widespread speculation that Meek ditched the show because he was embarrassed to play a mostly empty arena.

What’s crazy is he is taking zero ownership. He been tweeting all day having a great time while students were waiting since 9am for him. Nope. Respect out the window.

UPDATE:
Meek Mill got to UMass and left.

There will be no Meek Mill at the @MullinsCenter or for #MullinsLive

At least tickets were only $10-15 but it remains to be seen if refunds will be given out.

Not a good look for Meek. Later that day, Meek's private jet was searched by the Feds.  Perhaps an annoyed Umass student dropped a dime.
