T.I. finally addressed Hymen-Gate with a stop on Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk that aired today.
Tip admitted he had taken his now 18-year old daughter Deyjah to the doctor for annual virginity tests, even though hymen checks are a scientifically dubious proposition and, most would say, an invasion of privacy.
He qualified it by saying it was Deyjah's mom, singer Ms. Niko, would be in the room with the gyno, not him. He also justified the checks by saying black girls are at risk.
“It think that in the age or the time when our women — black women — are the most unprotected, unattended, disregarded women on the planet, I’m being criticized because I’m willing to go above and beyond to protect mine,” T.I. explained. “And I’m talking about all of the little slimy, grimy, chubby-fingered little boys who want to just come and defile and destroy the sanctity that I have.”
While they were respectful of Tip's opinion, Jada and the company didn't seem particularly impressed with it.
Neither, it seems, did Ms. Niko.
"WHEW CHILE, THE NARCISSISM," she typed over an IG photo of her daughter.
As for Deyjah ... she unfollowed Tip on social not long after he made his initial comments.
