Derrick Rose dropped a career-high 50 points against the Utah Jazz last night and got emotional afterward.
"It means everything," he said in tears. "I worked my ass off. I went out and did this for the franchise, the organization, the fans, everybody ... I'm doing everything just to win. I played my heart out. My teammates told me before the game, just play my game and tonight was a hell of a night."
The night was surprise flashback to Rose's glory days. He was Rookie of The Year in 2009 and then the leagues youngest MVP ever in 2011.
He shot 19-31 from the field and saved the T-Wolves 128-125 victory by blocking a shot with a few seconds left.
The 50 point night comes after Rose's career had been marred with injuries, inconsistent play, and a rape accusation. He even went AWOL a while back when he was playing for the New York Knicks.
You think Rose is back to being an elite player or was this just one of those nights?
