Death Row Co-Founder Set To Be Pardoned By Donald Trump Thanks To Snoop Dogg

Lil Wayne isn't the only Hip Hop figure set to be pardoned by Donald Trump before he leaves office tomorrow at noon.

Death Row co-founder and drug lord Michael "Harry-O" Harris is also expected to be released from prison this week after serving 32 years for attempted murder and narcotics distribution.  During his time away, Harris and his wife were locked in a long legal battle with Suge Knight (who's now also locked up) over what Harris believed he was owed because he had provided Suge with $1.5 million in seed money for Death Row and a 50 percent stake in the label.  While Harris prevailed in court, Suge never paid up.

Harris is said to have got his pardon thanks to a lobbying effort by Snoop Dogg, who was aided by prisoners-turned-activists Weldon Angelos and Alice Marie Johnson in convincing the President to let the drug kingpin out early.

Harris had been expected to be released in 2028.  Now he will beat Suge -- who still has 27 more years left for manslaughter -- home.
