Dave East and Kendra G — who's a host at Chicago station 107.5 — got into it over a failed meet and greet.
The Harlem rapper was supposed to meet up with Kendra for a listening session, but he didn't show up. At first, he claimed that he didn't know about the meet and greet after someone confronted him about it.
Afterward, Kendra recorded and posted a video and pretty much cursed Dave out.
"I was a huge Dave East fan, up until like this moment" she said. "Because we have a listening session that we've been promoting for Dave East all week on GCI. He did not show up. He's not answering the phone. We've been calling his manager, nobody's responding. So he stood Chicago up and that is fucked up. So Dave East, get your shit together and be more professional ... Fuck Dave East."Eventually, the Def Jam artist heard what Kendra said and responded.
"I wanna apologize to everybody in that room except this chic [Kendra G]," he wrote in a now-deleted message. "I was not told by anybody to be there today. It's good to know how [Kendra G] feel, thou. You was just talking about getting pregnant by me if you could. I wouldn't touch you with gloves on ... Chicago, I love y'all and would never ever curve anything in y'all city. [Kendra G], you'll never get an interview, a drop, not even a conversation from me ever in this lifetime. That is not professional and I don't move like that."
Dave also sent this tweet:
AGAIN I APOLOGIZE TO THE PEOPLE THAT TOOK TIME TO COME MEET ME TODAY. I WANNA SET UP A FREE SHOW/MEET & GREET FOR THEM.
Kendra responded afterward. As of now, her beef with Dave hasn't been settled yet. Who do you think is most wrong here?
