John Mayer has an Instagram show called Current Mode.
On the latest episode, things got weird between his two guests, Dave Chappelle and Daniel Caesar.
Caesar's a Canadian crooner with a fairly flamboyant style. Upon hearing him for the first time, Chappelle had two words for that style: "very gay."
Caesar immediately took offense to Dave's words. Dave tried to explain himself by saying he thought Caeser was incredibly talented. But he wouldn't take back his "very gay" comment, even when Mayer gave him an out by explaining Dave was very drunk.
Eventually, Dave got Caesar to concede he was being too sensitive. It all makes for some awkward social media content.
