Earlier this year, Philly rapper and apparent drug kingpin AR-Ab got 45 years for conspiracy and distribution of crack cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine.

Dark Lo, his friend and collaborator, wasn't among those initially charged with AR-Ab.  But he's also going to prison for a long time because he tried to get to a witness against AR-Ab.

Yesterday, Dark got a federal sentence of seven and a half years for one count of witness intimidation.

“The 39-year-old artist admitted to writing a letter to Dontez “Taz” Stewart, a government informant who testified against Abdul “AR-Ab” West. AR-Ab, who co-founded Original Block Hustlaz with Dark Lo, received a 45-year prison sentence back in April for allegedly running a drug trafficking ring that was linked to multiple murders.”

Dark's lawyers tried to argue that he was simply explaining to Stewart what the consequences of snitching could be, and wasn't trying to intimidate him.

That explanation didn't go very far, and now Dark Lo will pay the price for putting his words on paper.
