So when Mase -- who was featured on the track -- made reference to Hootie in its bars, it was pretty much understand that he was talking about the roots rock band's frontman, who's actually named Darius Rucker.

"We were at the Grammys… and some really hot girl walks by. One of [Biggie's] boys was like, ‘I’ll pay her,’ just as a joke.
