Danny Brown Says He's The Best Rapper Ever And Needs To Be Respected

by HHL Editors

Grandiose boasts are a time honored Hip Hop tradition. So in a way, Danny Brown was paying homage to his elders when he declared in an interview with the Huffington Post that "I'm the best rapper ever and I need to be respected."

Brown's known for his sense of humor, so we can't be entirely sure he was being serious when he laid down the "best ever" stake. However, Brown didn't back off when asked to describe his upcoming album.

"I just got to back up on this next album, and consistently prove that I'm always the most witty, the most unpredictable," he said. "I got the best stories, the illest punchlines, the hottest interviews."

The album, which doesn't have a name or release date yet, will be the 33-year olds' fourth.

So far the gap-toothed emcee with the high-pitched voice has been more of  a hit with critics than with fans, but maybe this effort will even out that acclaim.

Two part question: 1) Is Danny Brown the best rapper ever? and 2)Does he need to be respected?
