It's just been announced that D'Angelo will be the next artist to appear in Verzuz but an opponent wasn't named. Instead, he'll appear with "friends" on February 27th at New York's Apollo Theater.

The last Verzuz battle was between Ashanti and Keyshia Cole. Swizz Beatz, the series' co-founder, said he'd like to see a battle between Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.
