Damian Lillard Comes To Caleb Swanigan's Defense After He Gets Bullied For His Weight

by Daryl Nelson

When photos surfaced of Caleb Swanigan, who was the NBA's first round draft pick in 2017, people expressed shock, because he showed up to court this week weighing well over 400 pounds

Swanigan was arrested for possession of 3.4 pounds of weed in December 2020 in Columbia City, Indiana, and was sentenced to 180 days suspended after pleading guilty.

As for his weight, he struggled with obesity for much of his life, and after seeing the new photos Crossed Sports clowned him."How the hell does one go from this to that in a year?????" they wrote.

That comment made Swanigan's former teammate Damian Lillard come to his defense.

"You don’t know WHAT it is he’s going through to cause a drastic change. If you gone be supportive then do that but don’t ask no shit like that like it’s not possible when you naturally a big dude and go down a dark road."
