Dame Dash Said JAY-Z Failed Big Time In His Response To Nas

by HHL JT

Ever since Jay-Z, Damon Dash, and Kareem “Biggs” Burke sold Roc-A-Fella Records in 2004, Dame has taken many shots at Jay.

His latest dig at the billionaire rapper came during a recent interview on the That’s F*cked Up Podcast while speaking about Jay’s historic beef with Nas.

Dame said that Jay-Z flat-out lost the battle and explained why. [Jump to the 3:16-mark]

“Jay’s response was terrible,” said Dame, referring to Jay dropping “Super Ugly” after Nas released “Ether.” “The thing is, we had first hit him with the joint at Summer Jam that was kinda hard, the ‘Takeover.’ But when [Nas] came with the ‘Ether,’ I was kinda hype because he said my name. I was like, ‘I guess I’m in a rap record.’”

“But the response, I wasn’t there for the response. I had landed, Irv Gotti f*cked that one up. Every time Irv Gotti got in my business, he f*cked sh*t up … He threw that ‘Ether’ on him. He had him apologizing. The rap that he did was wack. When I heard it, I was pissed.”

Dame also said that he was baffled why people in the studio liked “Super Ugly” so much.

“And they in there high-fiving and sh*t. I’m like, ‘What you high-fiving for? This sh*t is wack.’ This n*gga talking about other n*ggas’ business and sh*t, like we don’t do that. And it was Irv. I was like, ‘Irv Gotti.’ I called Irv, told him don’t ever get in my business again bro, like, ‘What you doing? You not about war.'”

What was your reaction when you first heard “Super Ugly?”
