A 19-year-old rapper from Dallas named Lul Reese took a shot at a rival rapper but instead killed 9-year-old Brandoniya Bennett.
Reese and a group of others were seen walking to the front door of his rival's apartment complex and demanding he come outside. When he refused the men went to the back of the complex and began shooting. But they shot inside the wrong apartment, which killed the little girl.
Brandoniya's family said she just had her nails done and was sitting on the sofa when one of the bullets struck her in the head.
A local news outlet reports that Bennett's killing was the third murder in that same Dallas complex in just one month.
There are some reports that the shooting was tied to a disagreement about rap lyrics. RIP, Brandoniya.

💔😔 Dallas police say an argument between @lulreese & another rapper over “diss tracks” resulted in the shooting death of an innocent 9-year-old girl in Old East Dallas. Brandoniya Bennett, 9, was killed Wednesday afternoon while she was sitting on a couch in her family’s apartment at the Roseland Townhomes off of Munger Avenue. With help from witnesses and social media, detectives on Thursday identified 19-year-old #LulReese as the accused gunman. Witnesses told police they broke up the argument before #LulReese told the other man he would return to “air this place out,” meaning he would return to shoot the place up.
