DaBaby's Legal Team Responds To Leaked Walmart Homicide Video

by HHL JT

Earlier this week, Rolling Stone published a surveillance video that showed DaBaby was the aggressor in a 2018 Walmart incident in which he shot and killed a man.

DaBaby shot and killed 19-year-old Jaylin Craig in 2018, a shooting the rapper claims was in self-defense.

New security footage obtained by Rolling Stone shows that DaBaby appears to be the aggressor, and contradicts key aspects of his version of events. https://t.co/TGZjJ0Da6o pic.twitter.com/M7kbKur3U9

DaBaby was never prosecuted for the homicide because the DA's office decided it was self-defense.  Since he was never charged he could conceivably be charged if new evidence emerges.

However, DaBaby's legal team says that the video is not new evidence and, in fact, the prosecutors viewed it before deciding not to charge DaBaby.

DaDaby's lawyers believe the video only bolsters his self-defense claim.

"Witnesses were interviewed and corroborated Mr. Kirk's statement. The entirety of the surveillance video was viewed and determined to corroborate Mr. Kirk's statement ... Mr. Kirk was protecting himself and his family at the time of the shooting," they told TMZ.
