DaBaby Announces Retirement Timeframe

by HHL JT

DaBaby really broke out in 2020.  Between his 2019 album Kirk and his 2020 effort Blame It On Baby  he did 2 million-plus SPS.

But he knows that type of success won't last forever.

In fact, he's putting a cap on his rap career.

"Five years, I’ma be retired in five years,” he told XXL. “I won’t be rapping in five years. I won’t be rapping. I’ll be creating other superstars."

Perhaps his timeframe would be a little quicker if not for COVID.  Earlier this year, DaBaby claimed that the virus cost him $7 million in show money.
