Da Brat has filed for bankruptcy, reporting she has assets of $108,700.65 against liabilities of $7,782,249.57.

The majority of the liabilities are the $6.4 million she owes to former cheerleader Shayla Stevens, who sued Da Brat after the rapper hit her over the head with a bottle of rum during a 2007 Halloween party. The case was settled in 2014.  In 2008, Da Brat was sentenced to three years for the assault and ended up serving 21 months.

The 44-year old also owes $1,255,128 to Sony Music. The rest of her debt is of the normal-people variety.

In the filings, Da Brat revealed she makes $9,319 a month as an entertainer/radio personality but her monthly expenses total $10,506.55. She has reportedly made $75,000 so far this year, $106,000 in 2017 and $92,000 in 2016

Her assets are largely an old Mercedes and a newer BMW and Jeep Wrangler.
