Cyhi The Prynce Explains Why Kodak Black Is Above Other Rappers

by Daryl Nelson

Besides himself, Cyhi The Prynce's favorite rapper is Kodak Black, which he talked about with HipHopDX.

Some might say that Yak is having a stellar year on the music front since he's all over Kendrick Lamar's latest LP Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.  [Jump to the 32 minute-mark].

“He’s just genuine,” said CyHi about Kodak. "Because you hear dudes that brag about their street life, but the next line they don’t give you that perspective of, ‘Why I had to…’ He gave you the reason why he is the way he is, versus most artists just tell you, 'This is how I am. This is what I’m giving you, period.' So I think the perspective, the Gemini, the battle between himself is what’s special to me when he raps, for sure.”
