Curren$y Says '2009' With Wiz Khalifa Drops in August

By Sermon

Curren$y's Canal St. Confidential album arrives tomorrow, but Spitta has always been one to look ahead. He's already got the next potential project lined up, 2009 with Wiz Khalifa.

Throughout the year, we got signs that the duo would be releasing this a project.  But we never got anything solid. Until today.

During a takeover of Complex Music's Twitter, Curren$y responded to a fan who asked about the status of 2009. He replied, "when the wolf cries to the blue corn moon...... nah man august." August 2016 seems so far away, so anything could change.

Another interesting tidbit from the chat was that he and Freddie Gibbs have also thought about doing a collaborative project. He would only hint at it, saying Gibbs knows the title and to ask him about it.
