Coolio Dead at 59

Coolio has passed away.

The 57-year-old rapper was visiting a friend this afternoon in his hometown of Los Angeles when he went to the bathroom.  The friend began calling for him when he didn't return in a normal period of time.  When he came into the bathroom he found Coolio lying on the floor.

He was pronounced dead when the EMTs arrived.  Cardiac arrest is suspected but there is no official cause of death yet.

Coolio blew up in 1995 when his track "Gangsta's Paradise" from the movie Dangerous Minds went number one.

He followed it up with hits like "Fantastic Voyage".
