Chris Redd Hospitalized After Being Attacked In Front Of Comedy Club

Another comedian has been attacked.

Former SNL player Chris Redd was assaulted in front of the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village New York last night by a man wearing a security guard uniform.

Redd's assailant slugged him in the face and then ripped his Greg Yuna chain, leaving the links all over the sidewalk. Redd's blood was also all over the sidewalk and the stairs to the Comedy Cellar.

Redd was hospitalized and the set he was supposed to perform was canceled.

He is expected to recover.

Redd had been in the news recently for dating his former SNL co-star Kenan Thompson's estranged wife Christina Evangeline.

Police haven't caught Redd's assailant and don't have a motive.
